Alice Moore has been a Realtor for 31 years. Prior to her real estate career, she was employed at Cornell University as Human Resources Director, first at the NYS School of Industrial and Labor Relations and then at NYS Cooperative Extension.
Alice has been a multi-million dollar producer since becoming a Realtor. She prides herself in providing outstanding service, taking great care with her clients, and exercising exceptional professionalism in all she does. From the beginning, Alice's business has been built on referrals from satisfied customers. Her list of references is long and impressive.
While in human resources she perfected the fine arts of listening, confidentiality, analysis, negotiating, and, importantly, customer service. She has worked to improve her knowledge and skills in real estate by taking the necessary educational courses to become a Certified Residential Specialist and a Certified Buyer's Representative. She understands that being an effective representative for Buyers and Sellers involves tremendous attention to detail and reflection, always putting the customers' needs first.
Growing up in a small rural town near Ithaca, Alice learned the importance of community and has been an active volunteer for over 30 years. She has served on the Board of the Ithaca Board of Realtors, the Tompkins County Temporary Board of Assessment Appeals, the Board of Planned Parenthood of the Southern Finger Lakes, the Board of Hospicare and Palliative Care of Tompkins County, the Board of The History Center of Tompkins County, and is currently on the Board of the Community Foundation of Tompkins County.
In her leisure time Alice enjoys traveling, cooking, gardening, history, and theater. She has traveled extensively to Great Britain, Western and Eastern Europe, China, Mexico, Panama, and Canada. Alice is married to Robert Smith, a professor of labor economics in the NYS School of Industrial and Labor Relations at Cornell University. They have five children and thirteen granchildren. Parenthetically, she saw the Parthenon before it was under reconstruction, the USSR before it became individual states, and the Berlin Wall when Checkpoint Charlie's East Berlin guards walked the guard station with rifles ready. She has both a sense of history and knowledge about real estate that comes with her years' of experience that will serve you well in your real estate needs. And she has a sense of humor!
